Tried to put in comment section....but my HTML shot me the bird,so I thought I'd see if it would work here.
Lisa*-I'm still working on Bella's wish, but I found out that one of the leading foundations sent the family to Disney World in 99',so that's out.But there are some realtors that are tossing around the idea,so she might get lucky.I would buy it for her if I could but w/ this hospital trip coming up....speaking of that...yes,yes,yes,I have been a bad girl, and it's outraging the surgeon. But Fri.,I went in,with my overnight bags and all,and got the MRI done, and was sent home in a neck brace to be rescedualed for this week.Could be today, maybe tomorrow. It was so late when they finally got me back there to do the xrays, that there was nobody to schedual me.(typical small town).
Hey Lisa glad to hear that you have all your things wrapped up and hopefully topped with a snazzy bow.(grin)
I tried to go thru the make-a-wish foundation for Bella,as you may know...but...come-to-find-out.Bella has already been granted a wish in 99' to go to Disney World, and the Foundation only grants one wish.So I'm still trying.A group of realtors were tossing it back and forth...if I could just get some news coverage for the realtors gift, then I bet they'd ALL be sending Bella a laptop.
My surgery.Friday,I threw in the towel.I went in for the M.R.I.(a type of neck x-ray,as u know),but being on Fri.,they sent me home with a shot and all braced down. It's a tough-ee even trying to type w/ all this gear in the way.So next week,I'll get the operation, the gear put BACK ON,and then THEY say 3 weeks of the neck brace."I" say one and a half----tops.
OK WAIT! Stop throwing things at me!(lol)...I'll do my best with this neck device.I felt fine until they put me back in this crazy thing! My neck is so sore and giving me the worste spasms that go up under my ears like someone is hitting me in the back of my head with a hammer.
It's perfectly OK if you wanna call me "hammer-head"...never mind.We wouldn't want to steal a bands name, huh?(giggle)
In case your curious, here in a link to what will be done to my neck.

How odd...thanks for repeating yourself for me but I have already read that in your comments section (before it got whisked away? it WAS definitely there)
Oh dear, do you think it's a case of Big Brother watching over you? Spooky! lol
Thanks for the update, and good luck at convincing them that 1 and a half weeks tops is all you need for the brace afterwards. You be a good girl and do as they tell you to, it's for your own good! (now I'm sounding like my mother lol)
xx
Your too cool,Lisa. Can't get anything by you.
ha ha ha....you have a funny way of reading between the lines.
OK m-o-t-h-e-r,I will TRY to do as I'm told. But they are about to have to take me kicking and screaming.I mean...cut the back of my neck then, moooooooVe my windpipe and WELD me back like a broken toy!?O.K.,so I can't deny...I have had reason to not go back, but really this should be priority #1.I've never been to good at doing exactly what's right.(my bad)

Thanks Letti*It's always such a joy hearing and learning from you.Whether it's your doctor thoughts...or blog ideas, you always have something I can go on.I want to alphebetize my faves, but I'm scared I'll lose something, like when I changed templates.I created havoc!
Oh...what was that you said? You can't help me w/ the alphabetizing cuz that would take you off the top?Awww,c'mon Letti. You know your my fave!!
(just kiddin, she didn't say that about not helping re-alph.)
hee hee
Hey, I read the link to the bit about the surgery and it all makes a lot more sense to me now. Do you know if they're going in from the front or the back? 'Cuz if they're going in from the back, they won't have to move your windpipe around.
Any kind of orthopedic surgery feels strange. Right after the operation, when things are still healing, it feels like they broke you worse than you were before they worked on you. But after a few weeks or months, you'll definitely feel a difference. It won't be "just like new", but definitely better than it was before they operated!
Good luck with this, odds are you'll be just fine.
