EDIT-----> I went to court,and entered a plea,and my lawyer gave me 2 choices...1)agree with the D.A. and accept 9 months in prison....or 2.) take an Open Hearing,which means the Judge decides to give me 9 to 24 months or give me probation....I struggled with it,but I decided to take the Judges' decision,and maybe she'll give me probation...So the post below was just me freaking out today before court.I'm home,but may still get sent away on Dec.28th.That's FOR SURE the final decision day.But I'm praying that she(the Judge)could give me probation.I'm just really thankful that at least I'll get to spend the holidays' with my family...

This is the hardest and most embarrassing post I've EVER posted.So bear with me.I go to court today over a theft under $20...THAT was the post I freaked out about a while back.Today is court day and my lawyer says I'm getting 9 months State Jail(which is still prison)its just called State Jail..cuz u have a SET date,and you dont have to wait to see a parole officer to know when you get out..I think in Dallas...but I'll be in the county waiting to go probably today he says.So if I don't get back online tonight,you KNOW I was cuffed in court and sent to the county jail.
My real name is Tamara Corbett..Here at the Tyler Texas WalMart I made a huge mistake(I was in the breezeway with a head band on,but went thru the security point,waiting on T. to bring my purse in from the truck) and got stopped by an employee.I am more than likely going today to start doing a year in prison(day for day)for petty theft under $20,and am hoping someone will write and keep me company as I pay my debt to society.I can't blog anymore.No computers in lockup.But I assure you..I will be back after I pay my debt to society.I TOLD you I made a REALLY stupid mistake.This is so embarrassing,I could crawl in a hole.I've been crying and praying all night for lieniency,so I'm going to court w/ puffy eyes.Bummer.

You are all so sweet to stand by me through this.I have to say...I was really scared out of my mind yesterday,and totally surprised to be sitting HERE right now.I noticed the Judge re-set almost everyone's court date until after Christmas(while I was there,anyways).I thought that was really nice of her to do that.
I have to remind you though.Those of you that have blogged with me a while know I'm certainly no saint.What hurt me the most as far as what the D.A. wants for me is #1.After I made bond for this,I did everything I was told.Called my bondsman every Monday till it's settled.I go see see a lady w/ pre-trial and give a U.A.(pee test) weekly,and have called my lawyer repeatedly.The only thing my lawyer has ever told me was "wait till I see the WalMart video and I'll let you know when to be in court"(which he NEVER did)...and all of a sudden I'm doing my weekly U.A. and check-in and I'm told I missed a court date.I was NEVER given notice of a date,even with me calling repeatedly.ALL I ever got was an answering machine.So I was re-arrested and had my bond increased to 7,500.I was in shock.NOBODY told me I even HAD a court date,which I'm sure looks bad to a Judge.So I get out of jail and as usual I call and get my lawyers answering machine,and I let him have it with both barrels.BIG mistake.But it was HIS job to let me know I'm supposed to be in court.So I'm positive he just told the DA,lets just throw her to the dogs.So I WILL leave it up to the Judge to decide on my freedom.Because my lawyer and the DA work together.
I called a lawyer that I could pay,instead of having this court appointed lawyer and he says that the Judge is gona do what she wants,and that "honestly,I would be throwing away my money on him" if I hired him.So I guess all I can do is wait until the 28th and be ready for anything.
It's just nice to know I will have friends that will hang w/ me.
