PARENTS VISIT! :-}

On a better note...as opposed to my last post.:-)

My Mom and Dad came from Houston to spend the day with us recently (my daughter ,which is their grand-kiddo and A'million which makes him their great-grand-baby,and myself). They brought Quibbles, their Maltese (I think that's what Quibs is)lol..anyways,we were gona go out to eat somewhere cool, but no place to accomodate our lil Quibs with an outside patio area,so we decided on Sonic, which was a great idea! The weather was beatiful, and A'million got to play on the slides and of course Mee-Mee got in the big tent thingy with him,cuz he was scared to go alone...and NO I didn't jump around. Can you imagine the whole thing coming down around us?haha...I just bounced him while he just jabbered and laughed so hard.I don't get to spend much time with him as much as I used to cuz of my work hours, plus I don't get to see my parents as often either,so it was all-in-all a really pretty awesome day.

Here's a little history:My Dad married my step-mom when I was like 3 years old,and I have to say,I've been much closer to her than my birth mother in SO MANY ways.I've always said that my Dad couldn't have picked a better person in this world to marry, which sometimes is unusual for step-kids to say I think, cuz isn't the step-mom supposed to be wicked?LOl Well, that's just a storybook fable, cuz my Mom (stepmom) should have her picture in the dictionary under the word "CLASS"... she is the classiest, sweetest, most proper, soft spoken person that I have EVER known. The older she gets, the prettier she stays...I always say that I hope I age as gracefully.

Oh and Daddy!!In High School, people always thought my Dad was just some gorgeous guy I was seen riding with or spotted at a store with...when I would laugh and say "Are you kidding?THAT was my Dad you seen me with"! Nobody believed me...They were like "Yea right, that couldn't have been your father"! I used to get a kick out of that. He's older now and STILL handsome as can be!!

My pops has worked hard since he was like 15 years old,and just recently retired, and I am SO SO happy that he did. He's already had heart surgery a while back, and I think this retirement is long past due for him and his ticker.GO POPS!!

I don't talk about this subject much, but I will forever be grateful that the both of them. They stood by me when I spent my time in prison, which was no easy task. They visited regularly,no matter what unit I was sent to.They sent money, and wrote encouraging letters more than anyone else in my entire family.I still have those letters that meant so much to me while I spent time in that hell-hole.Always full of inspiration and "you can do this,Tammi",and "you'll be fine when you get released"etc..etc..They even kept/raised my daughter and never once put me down to her, which just meant the world to me.I'm not sure they know how much that really meant to me.We only live about 5 hours apart, but getting to see one another these days is harder than it was when I was in the pen.Matter-of-fact,I just told them that.LOL..I said "Gosh,I seen ya'll more in prison than I do now"!LOL (not very funny,I know)...but seeing them, even if it's just for a short time,is just awesome.I know sometimes they get just as agg with Rayven as I do,when we can't keep up with her,or catch her on the telly...but SHEESH! What can I say...like mother, like daughter...I did the same thing when I was her age.Keeping up with my fast self was impossible sometimes. We live in the same town sometimes and can't keep up w/ each other. In fact,I went by her house yesterday to bring the baby some stuff I bought on sale and as usual, her and AJ were on the move.I had just missed her and AJ according to her roomate.

Anyways..."here's to ALL of the parents out there that deserve recognition today"!!! CHEERS!!

They don't follow my blog---but "I LOVE YOU MOM & DADDY"!!!

Yeah yeah I erased that comment.

Great post and a fantastic photo of your mother, father, daughter and your partner in crime.

They say your parents are the ones that stick by you think or thin and you seemed to have been blessed in that regard with your fathwr and his wife.
I see the same from you to your daughter so I guess the nut doesn't fall far from the apple tree after all.
You chose how you wanted to grow up after the federal vacation and you when the way your father and step mother did and that's what makes you happy now.

Always cool to see you pop in,and I've read your interviews that you do with "people in high places"...so does this mean since you do Houston Interviews, you could do a "Tammi's Parents" Interview?hahaha

Your parents sound wonderful! How blessed and lucky you are. I don't get along with mine at all, and I'm an only child :-(

By the way hope everything worked out with you and your sister - from the last post... I'm sorry you had to go through that.

How awesome! I logged on and was getting ready to post another crazy day and was sooo happy to see you had popped in!! How nice to hear from you.
I'm so sorry to hear that you don't get along w/ your parents, hun.I do understand though, because my REAL mother and I don't always see eye-to-eye alot of the time.I wish she and I were closer, but I have given up beding over backwards trying so hard to get her approval.
But you being an only child and all,it would seem like you would be spoiled.LOL
We think the world of you around here though.
Big Hugggggs!
