HAPPY LATE 4th (I'll live mine vicariously thru yours)
Went back to the hospital today(THE HOSPITAL of MY CHOICE THIS TIME).Got good news...Bad news.
The good news is...no fever anymore after THIS many days of it,at U.T. I was put on an IV drip cuz I am dehydrated.Shoulda known after 8 days of no eating and very little drinking, running temps from 99.9 to 104.5.Fluxuating.So I'm getting hydration back.Discovered the enemia....that's getting treated.
Bad news....found out that not only do I have a 5 millimeter kidney stone. But I have ANOTHER 8 millimeter stone in the OTHER kidney. The 5 has slipped down in the danger zone,so a followup/removal is a must.To top it off the doctor says that your infection ZT's are measured from a 1 to 500.....my ZT's topped the charts so far over 500,they couldn't believe it!
My point is THIS!!! I KNEW as I was being drove to Mother Francis Hospital while projectile vomiting...that I was heading to the wrong hospital.God knows I couldn't have been more right.
This makes the 3rd time that hospital has failed me!! ALL they did was go by my shreeks and yelling while freezing from fever from the concrete floor, saying "kidney stone maybe(barf)kidney stone I think,PLEASE HELP ME!(barf)"!!
SEVERAL hours later after hours of screaming let me die, they injected morphene twice which didn't hardly do shit for pain.
Thank God I had sense enough to go to the University of Texas at Tyler.
Thanks for hangin' with me through this.

I bet the doctors in that hospetal own bullet proof vests in the are that bad.
The important thing is you were smart enough to go for aa second opinion.
Now that they know what's wrong with you they can getting to fiixing you up new again.
Awwww Tammi I hope you are feeling better soon! Hugs!
Wow I cant believe all the shit you've been through.
And I can't believe the hospitals could be SOO drastically different.
Here's the good news: after 8 days of no eating ... bring on bathing suit season :-) {hey, you gotta look on the bright side too}
Much love to you and a speedy recovery.
LETTI~~
Would you believe I thought of you in the midst of ALL the pain!? I thought"SOB! Letti is a doctor.I wish she could come bring her doctor bag and do something"!!!
4-real.
Too bad you don't get your papers here to heal people.I'm sure you have your reasons...but don't you miss that part of Malaysia?
WALKER~~
You couldn't be MORE right. If I sat here like I was,I'd STILL be feeling like I'm knockin' on deaths' door!
I knocked at Death's door once expecting to see the Reaper himself. As it turns out, he's just an overweight guy in bib overalls and a John Deere cap with a shotgun.
I guess he must have upgraded because his boat now has an outboard motor...
and he fishes in the river before taking you across.
THAT GIRL~~
You must know me REAL well.I'm getting agg cuz my hipbones are poking out,and I'm tired of my family saying I look like I've been on a month drug benge...but your so right!
I can NOW fit into all my bathing suits before I met "eat all the time Ray"!!lol
MONOGRAM QUEEN~~~
Thanks for the hug! I'm feeling much better now.
I've known a couple of people that had kidney stones, so have a good idea how painful they are. I'm so sorry and hope that your feeling better very soon.

As letti said...you're in my thoughts and prayers for a healthy recovery!:)
I have a genetic disorder that
has caused me many, many episodes
(over 80 and 2000 plus stones)
Maybe I can help ?
Please email me at dejavu3@shaw.ca.
I have a RARE disorder, but was
schooled on kidney stones since
the tender age of l2, and yes,
water should become your best
friend, but you need those
stones diagnosed to know which
kind they are to start with.
Most are calcium, there's uric
acid, brushite is way less common,
and then mine cystinuria.
Good luck - use that email if you
have ANY questions.
Kate.
