Hello all you sweety-pies that have been popping in to see if my surgery came out alright. Thanks for all the prayers and for thinking of me.I couldn't wait to come straight home and post an update on Wednesday....but after the hospital meds wore off,the computer was the LAST thing on my mind.I got sent home w/ a prescription for some high powered(much needed, btw) pain pills, but slept so much....even praying for sleep to come.I felt like I literally had the wind knocked out of my sails, and at first I thought they screwed me up it hurt so bad,but they said it was the norm."Give it some time"they said.My mouth dropped when I was informed that I would be given what the doctor called a bargain donar....now THAT sorta threw me for a loop, because I was NOT told that I would be getting a donated bone, but at the same time I was grateful to whoever chose to have their body parts donated,ya know? The first thing that came to my mind was some movie I watched a while back where a guy was donated a hand that belonged to a killer, and it turned him into a killer also....Yessss,I know how dingy that sounds, but it just kind of wierds me out that my neck is being held together by someone elses'.Not that I am ungrateful....not at all.I guess I just think wierd like that.Honestly I didn't care if they put me together with a kitchen utensil as long as it worked.Soooo......so far so good.
The pain and stiffness is easing up.I went from pain to discomfort,so I'm o.k.
I go back on Monday for my follow up to see if everything is still in check.I wanted to come home and just stay in my bedroom in bed,but between the telephone,my cell,my roomie and sweet lil scootie,I couldn't seem to get much peace and quite, and I had to apologize for getting so bent out of shape(no pun intended)lol..I mean,of course I know they meant well, but when I'm hurting, not to mention the medicines were making me so nauseated...I really just wanted to be left alone.
What a whiney-bag,huh?Boo-hoo.
Anyways....hoping everyone is doing o.k....I'm gona go see how some of my favorite peeps are doing...and then rest the weary neck.
Lotsa love to all.....lotsa hugs too!!

I just had one of my teeth removed...not real pleasant. It's like we get older and what we come to know as ourselves gets to be less and less of ourselves. Like I've got a gap in my smile that you can't really see, but I constantly know it's there.
And you with a piece of someone else in your neck. Ah well. A hundred years from now we'll be laughing with our digital voices from robot heads...
Anyway, I'm happy that you posted! Thanks! I can breathe now, knowing you're all right.
Love...
Yea your blog was updated and you are home and doing well. I am so happy to hear that. I can not believe you were home in a few days. They said that was the time when it would hurt the worst. It is amazing whath the insurance is dictating these days.
Hey about the neck, there really is not much that the foreign neck bone can do but maybe make you turn your head when you don't want to. You will be fine. If that crazy neck bone acts up you can put on one of those neck braces for a little while and show it who is boss.
Welcome home Tammi.
Great to hear your home and feeling ummm I guess for now stoned but alot better soon I hope.
We have to be grateful for those who donate what keeps many hjealthy.
Have a great weekend but I bet it already is wuth this past you. :)
Ms.Tammi, Shall I stretch things a little here
no I would never do that it is true this is the
BEST news I have had all weekend that you are
home from the hospital and doing better.
Now how about a few stoned dreams?
Let the real parting begin :)
Hiya cookie, good to have you home again. I'm a bit surprised they didn't tell you earlier that you'd be having a bone donation for your neck. And fancy calling it a "bargain" donor. Odd. But who cares anyway? It's in your neck now and helping to make things good for you. And as you say, if they had to use a kitchen utensil, then so be it!
It's good to read that the pain is starting to ease slightly for you...hopefully that will disappear completely with time and you'll feel better than you have for a long time.
And hey, I'm SO proud of you for finally going through with it. Now you can drive your car with confidence! lol
YOU DID IT! YAAAAAAYY!
Cary*All I wanna know is did they give you any medication when you got that toothe pulled?(just kidding).
Thanks for the digits, and for just being you.If I would have known you were holding your breathe I would have got my butt online sooner.LOL
Love ya Cary!
Glad to see you out and about. Thanks for leting me know how things were going. Now don't stay up to late T, get some rest and let that neck heal. Isn't it nice the procedure is all done.
Welcome home T.!! Bet you feel better already! ;)
Good to see you home, look after yourself - rest, get someone to fuss over you!
WOW, glad you are feeling okay... Thinking good thoughts for ya!
Good to hear that you're back and all in one piece.
Things only get better from where you are now.
Soooo Great to Hear from you! I have been wondering how you were. hmmm a bargain doner huh? Amazing what they can do patch us up these days. At least you are on the road to recovery now. WECOME BACK GIRL!!
So glad you are ok, hospitals suck!

Hope all is well and you're on your way to a full recovery :)
