GOOD NEWS TO BAD NEWS IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE!

Darn! I was headed to work the other day(in the slightly rainy weather),and as I was approaching the left hand turning lane(the light was green, btw),I noticed the truck in front of me was slowing down to a stop, and so I TRY to do the same. Then I noticed the truck in front of him was fishtailing and then spinning, and somehow wound up headed down the wrong lane to the right.Luckily no cars were in THAT lane or he would have had a head-on.But unfortunately,my breaks locked up causing me to slide right into the back of the truck in front of me.Smashed the front of my car.Vee'd my hood, pushing my radiator into my engine somewhat. The police came,no citations were issued, because she knew the only one at fault was the guy in the front of me and the other truck.Come to find out,the boy that was spinning and fishtailing started out revving up,spinning his tires and taking off like a race car driver(clowning) according to the guy right behind him that I hit.Ohhh but wait! The plot thickens! As the officer is taking down all of our info, she gets a call in saying a maroon truck JUST had a major collision w/ another car,and later I find out that the guy that caused our accident was in critical condition. In all the ruckus I forgot to get the other guys' insurance info, but it appears that his info isn't even necessary, because if you rear end someone...no matter what the weather is doing or even though the slick road prevented me from turning my steering wheel,etc...the bottom line is "I" hit the truck. So even though the officer put in the report that it was NOT my fault, the fact remains my insurance has to pay.His truck was barely damaged.Only because he had one of those trucks w/ a really hard bumper,so it only broke his license plate light, and nothing else that I could see.I had to go to the hospital.Whiplash and some strain to my neck and lower back just from the jolt.Thank the man above I am fully covered,so my insurance will pay my hospital bill, and also my time off work,as well as my car repairs.Well....they pay 80% of my wage loss.I suppose all in all,I was lucky. The guy ahead of me too.It could havwe been alot worse, because if my steering wheel could have turned,I could have hit a number of things or the cars around me instead of just the truck bumper ahead of me.The insurance adjuster will be here today to determine what kind of damage we are looking at.Had to follow up w/ a doctor/chiropractor yesterday, and she hooked some kind of electroids to my neck and lower back, and it felt like I had my neck stuck in a light socket.LOL it was like:BzzzzzzzzT..........
Anyways....my boss is so cool.He said he would hold my spot until I got better, and could come back. But what if my fill-in works out better than me?I'll be devastated.Just when things starting getting better and better....someone jerks the rug out from under me.Darn,if only the road was dry.If only the jackass weren't clowning.If....if....if.....IF my aunt had balls she's be my uncle, huh?
Plans for the day:Wait on insurance adjuster.Do some computer cleaning. For a fairly new computer I think I've bogged it down too much w/ useless downloads that I need to remove.I have a bad habit of downloading stuff that just LOOKS cool, but ultimately is of no use in the long run.I was labeled the "download queen" on a HELP message board.(baaaaaad girl!)
First things first.Gotta email my best bud,K.,and send some pix.
Have a grrrrreat day! If your driving....drive safely,btw. :-}

You know, there are days when all the luck comes your way and then the next...that damnable rug goes back to that bastard Aladdin. I never liked the swine anyway.

But when that kinda thing happens, you still take stock of the fact that sometimes, some things still go right.

The only thing that I have to really sum this up and it sounds like the biggest understatement of the millennium....Ouch!!

But it's OK...car in shop, gotta fax my work info, and some other stuff, and wait patiently for the ball to roll.Until then....Uugh!I'm on FOOT!and in a pinch.
You just never know how much you miss your ride till it's towed to the garage for repairs.EeeeK!But I have a feeling I'll be coming out A-OK in the long run.
It's getting my neck suregery,b/c my first neck injury differs from this one,so I qualify for emergency surgery.
Awwwwww bummer.I HATE being hospital bound. But a big jolt will cause paralysis....so....duhhhh.....no choice they say.Just wish I had a laptop in the hospital. That would be nice.
But.....maybe I'll recover and be back on in no time.I'd miss my blogger buds...plus I'm so nosey,I'm afraid I'll miss something.LOL

Trust me when I say this. The only interesting things you'll be missing from this end, all happen in my head anyway and that's not saying much when you factor in the self-imposed insanity to deal with the empath slams and the nightmares to boot...and they don't seem to wanna get the hell away from me. So aside from jolting awake and fits of breaking into lines scrawled onto sheets of paper which have no real sense or meaning, you're not missing a thing.

Funny thing is friends and I used to attend local metal shows to get our necks wrecked *mission accomplished each time, thank you* so this is gonna sound really rich coming from me but get your wrecked neck fixed and then you can come back to us. We'll still be here. Why? I wanna see what happens next.

It's in me now
It lives and breathes
I could care less..."

omigosh, sorry to hear about your wreck..why didn't i read this post before?? I hope the car insurance thing is all sorted out. As for bogging down the puter, maybe you should run a virus check as well as defrag the machine to get it running optimally. Yay!
