Computer Question:
I have a co-worker that has a laptop for sale. I seen it...it powers up,and is obviously in good condition,and I'm no computer expert....but she says it needs a modem.I hate to sound like a dummy,but I thought all computers came w/ a modem to get online.LOL..It's called a "Dell Latitude CP"...Pentium 2,and Windows 2000.She wants $150.I wonder if it's worth it....and can you just maybe add a modem...or is that even possible?

you can do about anything you want with a computer these days. upgrading is always an option. and if i had a chance to buy a laptop for $150. i think i'd go for it.
i'd avoid it. p2 chip - if that's right - is OLD. it's gonna run like molasses and the latitude line may be tuff to upgrade.
keep u'r $150 and put it toward a good desktop ;)

I too would avoid it. $150 is a great price, but the cost alone to put a modem internal would cost more. Sure you could use an external one, but i'd save my money. Also, windows 2000 isn't such a great operating system. I'm sure if you wait, you may find one a little more exspensive, with a modem and perhaps XP :)
