WORK/SLAVE LABOR

hEY hEY, oops...get off caps lock,Tammi. I'm not sure if I mentioned,I'm working for a painter now.Oh crap, though, talk about HOT AS HELL! Decent money, but my boss just weirds me out.Reminds me of a burnt out speed-freak.(he is)..Says he's been there, done that, but no more.Big doobie smoker, and it really gags the heck out of me in his truck w/ the windows rolled up.I had to roll down the window it was so strong. He's like"roll it up,the air is on",but I'm sorry,I HAD to put my foot down and tell him to roll his down some cuz it was killing me.I have always said"To each his own"....whatever ppl do is their business, but I never was much of a pot smoker, and I'd rather not ride with anyone with it in the vehicle.I'm not on paper anymore, but I would sure hate to get caught up in a bunch of B.S. if he were pulled over by the cops, with me in the truck. They would probably figure it was MINE since I've been to prison. What do I do about that? I want to keep this job,but how can I tell him I'm uncomfortable with this? Anyways...he really is a trip.Poor guy,no front teethe,so I have such a hard time trying to understand him sometimes. He has to repeat himself alot, and I feel bad 4 that...but I just can't understand him.He keeps talking about what he wants in a woman,etc....etc....You know the common B.S.,as if I care. But I get the distinct impression that I was hired 4 more than a painters helper.Oh NO NO NO.He's shorter than me,about 50 years old,I think he said, and is as big as a small 10-12 year old,but with a gray/silver burr haircut. But you know me...it's NOT the looks that count,it's the person's demeanor, and I'm sorry, but he's so weird.Runs around 90 miles an hour, talking so off the wall,I can't keep up.Plus he backs the truck up and plays the music so loud while we are taping and caulking the outside of this house(prepping to paint)...but my point is...the music is so loud, that
it's just another factor in not being able to hear him when he's talking(which is constantly). He keeps saying I'm ignoring him,but I tell him it's the music, plus the other workers with a different
crew(builders),along with their hammering and banging around.Makes is impssible to hear or understand him.Well,I gotta be at work at 5 a.m.,which is MUCH better than starting at 7:30-8,cuz it really does get HOT as heck by 9:30-10 a.m.....but I have to say,I do like the work.My left hand is giving me hell, but I NEED the excercise to get my full strength back.Plus even tho it's hot,I need the sun,so forget going to the tanning bed now.I'm glad I didn't buy a membership ,cuz I get plenty of sun,and that's good.Plenty of sunshine! Oh snap! My first day,we worked 10 hours straight...talk about a zombie! ha ha. I got home and took my shower and fell out! lol I must say: I have the utmost respect for all the outside painters in this world! I mean, yes,I've done these things with
Ray,but....well.....that was RAY.I just worked when I wanted to,took breaks when I felt like it,and left when I wanted,lol...Plus he didn't work the "cowgirl-Sxxx" out of me(an old Texas saying) ha ha Anyways.....bills bills bills! Always having to "Rob Peter to pay
Paul"(another oldie)....You know the deal.Gotta do what cha' gotta do,huh? I wish I had some computer skills,I would love to work in a computer shop.Geez, you could make a killing!! Anybody have any ideas on how to get those skills?Besides college, aren't there schools for that specifically? It would be so cool to work at something you love to do anyways.

I want to add a quick HUGE thanks to my blogger buddies that add so many encouraging comments, and for the personal e-mails letting me know that someone cares. Many many thanks to you for letting me vent the good as well as all the crazy stuff that goes on in my strange life!lol
Lots of hugs to you from me!!

Tech schools have all kinds of computer courses. I have some knowledge of computers but if all else fails remember that there was a 17-year-old kid that built an entire business selling Mason Jars on Ebay.
